Employment Opportunities

Actua is growing and looking to expand our team with the following available positions. If you are a dynamic, motivated, and resourceful individual with a genuine interest in a career in youth engagement, see below for current opportunities.

Outreach Assistant - (Summer position)
Actua is currently seeking an Outreach Assistant to join our team starting May 1st, 2012. The Outreach Assistant will work closely with the Outreach Coordinator to plan and coordinate the logistics of Actua’s Outreach Team programming being delivered in remote, isolated and Arctic regions across Canada. The preferred candidate will have a background in outreach programming and/or event organizing and experience working with Aboriginal partners and communities. The candidate must demonstrate experience managing multiple tasks at once as well as excellent record-keeping and computer-based skills.

Please see the Outreach Assistant posting for more details.

Cultural Liason - (Summer position)
Actua is currently seeking Cultural Liaisons to join our Outreach Team in 2012. Each Cultural Liaison will work closely with the Outreach Coordination team and in a group with two Outreach Instructors to deliver fun, hands-on, and culturally relevant science, engineering and technology programming to youth in remote, isolated and Arctic communities across Canada. During week-long summer day-camps, each Cultural Liaison will help to facilitate cultural events, mentor events and participant recruitment. Preferred candidates will have strong communication and leadership skills as well as a passion for culture and education. Due to the unpredictable nature of Outreach, instructors must also demonstrate an ability to face and overcome unexpected challenges as they occur.
