Spotlight: This week’s activities combine STEM and concrete everyday concepts to help us better understand how STEM is all around us.

- For youth grades 4-8: The sky is the limit when you combine music and coding! Get creative and compose music compositions with code!! Follow our Codemakers Coding Music STEAM activity tutorial here.
- For youth grades 2-5: In this hands-on experiment, use chemistry to make your own crystals in a jar. Learn about crystallization and three-dimensional shapes with our network member SuperNOVA at Dalhousie University’s crystal making activity. All their activities can also be found here.
- For youth grades 7-12: Listen to our network member Geering Up at the University of British Columbia NEW podcast about Youth in STEM! New episodes will be posted weekly along with their library of STEM at home activities.
- For youth grades 10-12: Want to learn more about STEM? Half as Interesting offers fun and informative videos that explain everything from disappearing islands to flying on a lawn chair!
